Party Party Party

Today I thought I would share a couple of pics from the combined dress-up party we had for both the kids last year. With their birthdays fairly close together we had a come as your favourite hero or princess party party. Turning 1 and 5 they had a great time.
Our dog Ben even got in on the dress-up action.
Party food table. Those pom pom’s I can’t take down hang above this.
I made two different cakes and a bunch of cupcakes. Kept it a bit simpler by adding the superhero figurines and princess tier. Always looking for the easier way!!
This pop-up marquee we only put up half way in height for the kids to play in.
Worked really well.  We gave it a couple of entrances…
Princess Castle
Very simple to make from core-flute (found at bunnings) and some spray-paint. A black marker for the out-line and some other bits and pieces for decoration. Then attached them to some stakes in the ground.
Added streamers and balloons to the ceiling inside with some fun party things to do in their. Unfortunately it decided to rain on the day, hence having to put down the tarps on the floor, but not too much till the end of the day thankfully.
Since we had a big kids party last year, this year we are going a little more low-key, just family and keeping it simple. Decorated those cupcakes from the other day for the little guy to take to school today. Did some aliens as how to do ninjago or superhero cupcakes eluded me.
Have you got any fun decorating ideas for kids party’s or easy party food ideas?
Do you do a kids party every year or every second?
