Ikea fabrics and Bed Heads

Ikea has a fabulous range of fabrics. These fun bright acrylic-coated fabrics came in many shades and 150cm wide which is exactly the width I need for my dining table. Great for kids or a party. Or a DIYers project table.

They also do a great broad striped fabric called Sofia. Pink and white, green and white, red and white  or black and white striped and quite thick. Again 150cm wide and $9.99 a meter. I’m thinking you could use as tablecloth’s or curtains, or even to cover a bed head.

This Fjellse double bed is the very hot price of $79. You could paint or stain the frame, attach a piece of mdf to the head and cover in wadding/fabric for your own one of a kind bed head.

This Brimnes might be another option which has a small bed head that you could possibly add some MDF and attach your wadding/fabric to. And it comes in a double and a queen size. It’s seen here with a separate bed head that has storage on the side and comes out from the wall. Be aware with Ikea beds that you usually buy the slatted base separately as well as the mattress, so read the signage carefully to find out what’s included and how many pieces you’ll need to pick up.

Have you ever used Ikea fabric or vinyl coated fabric for a project?
Or made your own bed head?
