Iain Halliday has taken out the Belle and Coco Republic’s Designer Of The Year Award for 2012. An amazing talent (for example as you can see by the Luxe space above. I am loving this combination.) who was also featured in the recent Luxe Living Edition of the June/July Belle Magazine. Today I thought i’d do our designer profile on Iain and his company BKH ,( which stands for Burley Katon Halliday) and show you a few of my favourites from his large body of work.
They have offices in Sydney and New York.
Unlike Greg Natale and David Hicks who I can generally pick their work by their signature styles, Iain and his team customize each unique interior which truly reflects the owners of the space.
He definitely deserves the ‘Designer Of The Year Award”.
The pics are from the site BKH.com.au unless otherwise stated.
I’ve had the above pic for awhile now in my archive of pics and I just love it. Maybe it has to do with the mix of green Ikat on old Louis XVI chairs, the graphic rug from Beauvais Carpets and the Massimo Vitali photograph against the perfect shade of grey walls. This whole apartment is gorgeous with the mix of many different furnishing styles and patterns. This is the home of Kiane and Charlie Von Mueffling in New York City.
take a few minutes to peruse the BKH website for yourself.
